Although IBR’s research initiatives are largely applied in nature, all IBR Scientists hold a deep appreciation for basic and pre-clinical research. In fact, most of IBR’s Scientific staff were not only trained in basic research, but maintain active collaborations with a diverse network of colleagues on various laboratory projects. IBR’s primary areas of expertise include behavioral pharmacology, neuroscience, and chronobiology. IBR’s Human Performance Laboratory is suitable for non-invasive interventions and monitoring of individual and group behavioral biology, whereas the forthcoming Joseph V. Brady Behavioral Sciences Center will include full biomedical and sleep laboratory facilities suitable for a wide range of basic, translational, and pre-clinical behavioral and biological research in individuals and groups.
